Electrolysis

Ever been told laser won't work for you? Have stubborn hair growth? Is your hair Blonde, Grey, Red, Black or Brown ? then Electrolysis is for you.

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal treatment that works by treating each individual hair follicle. A very fine probe is inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle, and thermal energy or a chemical reaction is used to destroy the cells responsible for hair growth.

During the treatment, each hair is treated individually and then removed from the follicle, so a small amount of hair growth is necessary treatments performed over a series of weeks, with a number of sessions depending on how much hair is present in the treatment area.

You may feel a brief warmth, tingling, or a tiny pinch with each treated hair. The sensation is very quick and not uncomfortable.

The perfect treatment for facial hair, and post laser tidy.

Diathermy

Initial treatment 30mins $100 Follow up treatment 15min $75

Diathermy is a medical technique that involves the use of a high-frequency electrical current to produce intense heat to a specified treatment area. This intense heat is able to destroy unhealthy or unwanted tissue such as skin tags or can be used to clot blood, which effectively reduces the appearance of broken capillaries.

The device itself is a small handpiece that delivers the electrical current through a probe the size of an eyelash. This means that the treatment is very precise and only the targeted tissue is affected. Therefore, the risk of scarring or post-inflammatory pigmentation is very unlikely.

The discomfort of the procedure depends on the area being treated and the type of lesion being treated. Raised lesions such as skin tags may feel like a slight stinging sensation, whereas flat lesions or sensitive areas can feel a fair bit warmer.

Most people, however, are able to tolerate the discomfort fairly well.

Following a diathermy treatment, most lesions will immediately appear white or grey, with the surrounding skin appearing pink. In the next few days after treatment, lesions can darken or appear to become dry or scab-like. This skin should not be picked at or irritated. The affected tissue generally dries up and falls off after 7-10 days. If all aftercare instructions are followed, the treated area should look completely untouched and clear of any blemishes.

Allowing us to treat Milias, Skin tags, Sebaceous hyperplasia, Seborrheic keratosis, Broken capillaries,  Age spots & Cherry angiomas. Drs consent may b required for certain treatments.
